My big news is travel news; I am going to France!
After so many major DIY projects over the last seven or eight months, I am switching gears for a little while seeking an infusion of creative inspiration. My chosen method for this is travel and exploration and this time I am going out of the country.
This week I first head to Iceland for a short 24-hour stay and then continue on to France for a little over one week.
I am looking forward to the experience of some quiet solo exploration of Reykjavik. My big plan is to wander, sketch, and repeat. I won't have enough to to venture out to the numerous natural wonders, so I'll have to come back and stay longer another time!
The purpose of this venture is to attend a workshop to explore styling and photography. I am hoping to amp up my skills as a creative! My travel buddy while in France and attending the workshop is Natalie, from my design school days. Once the workshop concludes my cousin will join us to explore Bordeaux!
My adventures in France will center around Heather Bullard's The Academy. The week-long workshop will be set in the Dordogne region, near Bordeaux. If you aren't familiar with this region here is a map of France and a close up to help with geographical orientation.
Bordeaux is southwest of Paris and Dordogne region is east of Bordeaux.
Over the next few weeks I will be sharing some of the things I experience, learn, and encounter in hopes that it will bring you some creative inspiration as well!
